For the first time in American Idol's 13 year-history, FOX used real contestants to launch the show under the campaign title #thisisreal. One of the promos that really showcases the scope of this campaign is Drumline Walk. Shot in 16 cities across California and featuring 19 contestants, this spot aimed to capture the confidence and determination that each contestant must bring to become the next American Idol.
